A more personal way to train

Why choose 1-to-1 boxing personal training?

Most people who contact me in W1 do not need a crowded class or an elaborate gym routine. They need reliable coaching that works around their week and helps them make progress. Private boxing sessions combine learning a practical skill with purposeful exercise.

Personal technique

Learn how to stand, move and punch correctly. I can correct your guard, jab, footwork and padwork during the session rather than leaving you to copy a group.

Fitness with variety

Boxing rounds can be combined with intervals, resistance exercises, core work and mobility, keeping training engaging without having to spar.

Convenience and privacy

Train at a suitable home or private gym, or arrange an outdoor session close to where you live or work. No need to travel across London to a fixed gym.

“The biggest difference with private boxing training is that every correction is personal. You are not just exercising — you are learning how to move, punch, breathe and train properly.”

If you are searching for boxing classes in Mayfair or Marylebone, it is worth knowing that my service is private coaching rather than a regular group timetable. Shared sessions for couples or friends may be arranged where suitable.

Local W1 coaching

Where can we train in Mayfair and Marylebone?

As a mobile trainer, I can meet you at a suitable location rather than requiring you to join a particular gym. The best setting depends on space, weather, access, any venue rules and your training objectives.

Mayfair · W1

For clients around Bond Street, Grosvenor Square, Berkeley Square, Park Lane, Piccadilly and Green Park. Coaching can be arranged at suitable homes, residential gyms, hotel gyms or private offices.

Marylebone · W1

For clients around Marylebone High Street, Harley Street, Baker Street, Portman Square, Manchester Square and Paddington Street Gardens. We can discuss a nearby private or outdoor venue.

Hyde Park & Regent’s Park

Outdoor padwork, footwork, conditioning and movement sessions can be an option for clients close to Marble Arch, Park Lane or Baker Street, subject to an appropriate space and applicable park rules.

Simple meeting points: Bond Street and Baker Street stations, Marylebone High Street or a convenient park entrance can be useful places to meet before moving to the agreed training space. I do not operate a permanent gym at these locations.

I also coach across other parts of central London, depending on availability. For wider coverage see areas covered.

Choose your focus

Private boxing and fitness programmes

Sessions are built around your goal: getting fit, learning boxing, improving technique, supporting weight management or simply enjoying exercise consistently. You can train without wanting to compete or get hit.

Boxing for beginners

Start with stance, guard, jab, cross and footwork. Progress to simple combinations, focus mitts, defence and coordinated movement at a comfortable pace.

Boxing fitness & weight management

Combine controlled boxing rounds with strength exercises, mobility and conditioning. Long-term body composition changes also depend on everyday activity, nutrition and consistency.

Strength, core & mobility

Blend boxing with bands, dumbbells or bodyweight strength where equipment is available. Suitable for those who want general personal training with or without much boxing.

Lunchtime or workday sessions

Focused sessions can fit around a demanding schedule where practical. We can discuss shorter options and how to make training useful without rushing technique.

White-collar boxing preparation

Technical drills, defensive movement, punch mechanics and fitness progression for people preparing for a white-collar event, with training suited to their experience.

Couples or shared training

Private sessions for two can be possible when space and goals allow. Each person still receives coaching and adaptations.

Your first session

What happens when you start training?

Your first session is practical rather than intimidating. We discuss your goals and any important health or training considerations, then I coach movement and boxing basics at a suitable level. There is no requirement to spar or already know the punches.

01 · Warm-up

Movement, mobility and a brief look at your stance, coordination and current fitness.

02 · Learn the basics

Guard, foot position, the jab and cross, then simple movement and combinations.

03 · Padwork

Coach-led focus-mitt rounds with real-time feedback on technique and timing.

04 · Conditioning

A suitable blend of boxing rounds, strength exercises, core or aerobic intervals.

05 · Review

We identify what went well, what to practise and a sensible next step.

Example 60-minute session: 10 minutes warm-up, 10 minutes technique, 20 minutes padwork, 10 minutes conditioning and 10 minutes core work, cooldown and review. The balance changes with your needs — a technical beginner session will not look the same as a demanding fitness session.

A coach for your goal

Who benefits from private W1 boxing coaching?

I coach complete beginners as well as people who have boxed before. Clients include Mayfair and Marylebone residents, professionals with limited time, people who prefer privacy, adults returning to exercise, and those preparing for a specific fitness or boxing goal.

If you are nervous about boxing

We start calmly, work on your stance and breathing, and build confidence. You do not have to spar or train like a fighter.

If you are short of time

Training can be organised around a practical location and a consistent weekly slot. A focused session is more useful than an unrealistic plan you cannot maintain.

If you want general fitness

We can use boxing as part of a broader strength and conditioning programme, or focus mainly on personal training if that suits you better.
