Quick answer

Can I Book a Boxing Trainer in Holborn?

Paul Carroll, founder of Boxing Trainer London, provides private 1-to-1 outdoor boxing training in Holborn, near Lincoln’s Inn Fields, Holborn station and Chancery Lane, at a suitable agreed location. In-person sessions cost £75–£95 depending on the booking and package.

Sessions combine boxing technique, padwork, footwork and conditioning. I bring the equipment, coach you personally and adapt the workout to your fitness and experience. This is private coaching rather than a drop-in boxing class.

Who is it for?

Complete beginners, returning boxers and office workers who want individual coaching without a busy gym.

Where?

Lincoln’s Inn Fields and suitable nearby spaces, including approved offices or private training areas.

When?

Weekday lunchtimes are particularly practical; other days and times depend on my existing sessions.

What should I send?

Your preferred day, time, nearby postcode and whether you want outdoor or office-based training.

Local training locations

Where Can We Train Around Holborn?

Holborn works well for mobile coaching because clients can meet close to work instead of travelling to a boxing gym. I recommend a practical training spot based on the available space, foot traffic, access, weather and the type of session you want.

Outdoor training

Lincoln’s Inn Fields

The first location I would consider for outdoor padwork, footwork and fitness drills. We confirm a suitable, permitted training spot before the session.

Legal quarter

Chancery Lane and Gray’s Inn

Convenient for legal professionals and office workers who want to train near Chancery Lane station, Gray’s Inn or Lincoln’s Inn.

Holborn station

High Holborn and Southampton Row

Useful for clients near Holborn station, offices along High Holborn and surrounding Bloomsbury streets.

Mobile coaching

Your office or private space

Where access is allowed and there is enough clear floor space, private coaching can take place at an office, courtyard, residential or hotel gym.

Nearby meeting points may include Red Lion Square and the Hatton Garden side of Holborn, but a meeting point is not a promise to train in every square or garden. We agree what is appropriate before booking.

Working elsewhere in the capital? My Central London boxing training page covers the wider area, including the City and other central locations.

How coaching works

What Happens in a Holborn Boxing Session?

I shape the hour around your background and goals rather than run through an identical routine with everyone. If you are starting from scratch, we concentrate on balance and sound basics; more experienced clients can spend longer on movement, defensive reactions and higher-intensity padwork.

1. Warm-up and movement

A short mobility warm-up, easy shadow boxing and movement patterns appropriate to your ability.

2. Stance, guard and footwork

Build a stable boxing stance, learn how to move without crossing your feet and practise returning to your guard.

3. Punches and padwork

Practise jabs, crosses and selected combinations on the pads, with individual feedback on technique and distance.

4. Fitness and progression

Finish with suitable boxing intervals, simple strength or core exercises, then discuss what to practise next.

No sparring is required. Most of my Holborn clients are training for fitness, enjoyment, coordination or confidence rather than preparing for a fight.

Why this approach works

Why Choose Outdoor Boxing Training in Holborn?

A local outdoor session can make it easier to fit proper training into a working day. The focus is on genuine boxing skills as well as fitness, so there is always something to improve beyond simply working harder.

Useful during a lunch break

Meet near your workplace, train for an agreed session length and get back to the office without travelling across London.

A skill you can keep building

Learn stance, defence, timing and footwork while improving cardiovascular fitness and coordination.

Private coaching and feedback

I can correct your punching mechanics and movement immediately, rather than leave you to follow a large group.

Flexible to the conditions

If a public outdoor space is unsuitable or the weather is poor, we can discuss another practical location or rescheduling.

If your main interest is a fixed boxing gym or public group classes, private mobile coaching may not be what you want. I only offer agreed private sessions here; for other options, see my London boxing classes guide.
